The Friends of Historic St. Peter's Church, Inc., is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization, which has raised funds to rehabilitate and maintain this architectural gem in the heart of Spencertown, New York. (Originally constructed in 1771, the Church building is now listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places.)
Since 2005, the Friends organization has overseen the restoration of the church's steeple, roof rafters, sills, foundations, and exterior paint. Generous support has come from the Presbyterian congregation, the community, and private foundations and government grants.
With a $13,000 balance remaining on a loan taken during the final restoration stage, the Friends are now facing additional costs for a new project in 2017 – replacement of the roof. While final costs are not yet known, several breakfasts are planned to begin the fundraising necessary.

Thanks to All Who Attended & Helped Plan Our Pancake Breakfast!
The men's group made delicious pancakes and the March 18 event raised over $1,000 from donations and admissions. A very special thank you to Staron's Farms for the donation of maple syrup.
